My name is Menelaos Georgiou, I was born in Athens in November 10, 1999. I am a very talkative person and very ambitious for my 21 years of age. I started modeling six months ago in Greece with X-ray and I recently signed up with Nevs model Management, something I am very proud about. I love acting, dancing and traveling. I am currently studying two major degrees in Deree and in University of Peloponnesus, and I am also working in Segment Analysis & strategy department of Eurobank. I am currently based in Athens, but I also spent quite a bit of time in London.

When did you start modelling?

I started modeling 6 months ago. I am new to the “game” and I think I am learning new aspects of the industry every day.

How did you get scouted?

Through Instagram. I think this platform is very powerful and it gives to the guys and girls endless opportunities to get scouted by many agencies.

Who are the models you aspire(d) to?
I admire Jhonas Burjack, and I feel honored and blessed to have had a cover in the same magazine as Jhonas did. I also admire Sean O’ Pry and Alton Mason. Both of them are fierce and very beautiful men.

What would be your dream modelling job?
My dream modeling job would be a perfume campaign, something similar to the newest Tom Ford Costa Azura  campaign by Steven Klein. Added to this I’d like to be the cover of GQ since it’s one of my favourite magazines

In an industry based on appearances, how do you handle negative comments and rejection?

Unfortunately, I am new to this industry and I still can’t handle rejection good. There are times where rejection has negative consequences on my mental health, but I am doing my best to come in terms with that. In this industry rejection is often the same with redirection therefore I am trying to keep the positive aspects of each and every direction.

From your perspective, how do you think the fashion industry can improve?

The fashion industry should start being sustainable and start investing in diversity. We need more black models, more Asian, curvy. Added to this, in order to protect models rights the industry should create a syndicate in order to define the lowest price per model and most importantly to secure their payments.

What’s your favourite project/shoot you’ve done so far?

Everything I’ve done for Chromatica. I feel blessed and lucky at the same time to have participated in Chromatica’s Digital pages.

Tell us something we wouldn’t know by looking at your portfolio?

I think that my portfolio, even though is  very well made, isn’t able to capture my talkative character and my energy.

What’s your favourite feature?

My eyes.

What’s you motto in life.

You have people come into your life shockingly and surprisingly. You have losses that you never thought you'd experience. You have rejection and you have learn how to deal with that and how to get up the next day and go on with it. - Taylor Swift
