My name is Roberto Hoshieh, I am 21 years old and I’m originally from Romania but moved to England when I was 11 for football. Football was my life up until 2019 when I got injured and got scouted to model. Football therefore remains one of my hobbies. I’m also into acting and I’m very passionate about my fitness.
When did you start modelling?
I started modelling in November 2019.
How did you get scouted?
I got scouted on Instagram after losing a fifa bet with a friend and having to shave my hair off. My mother agents came across my shaved hair picture on Instagram and that’s where it all started haha
Who are the models you aspire(d) to?
I don’t aspire to be like anyone actually, I care more about being the best version of myself
What would be your dream modelling job?
I’m a very ‘whatever happens, happens’ guy, so I don’t have any ‘dream modelling jobs’
In an industry based on appearances, how do you handle negative comments and rejection?
I think the best way to handle the negative side of the industry is by knowing your worth and understanding that people are jealous and people are allowed to have opinions. It’s normal. If you’re confident enough in yourself, you won’t even notice the negativity.
From your perspective, how do you think the fashion industry can improve?
I think the fashion industry could improve by looking at models beyond their appearance more often. I feel like models are often treated as objects unfortunately.
What’s your favourite project/shoot you’ve done so far?
I’ve had some amazing shoots since starting modelling but so far my Dsquared2 underwear/swimwear campaign would have to be the best one yet.
Tell us something we wouldn’t know by looking at your portfolio?
One thing that you might not know by looking at my portfolio would be that outside of my modelling there’s a lot going on.
What’s your favourite feature?
My favourite feature would probably be my awareness (character wise). Physically, I don’t know haha
What’s you motto in life
My motto would have to be ‘You see what I show you’. Privacy is key.
