Welcome to The Human Form (Part A), Issue 02,

Idolised, politicised, censored, sexualised, digitised, groomed, dissected, the subject of the body remains chaotic, controversial and taboo.

The body, the barrier between what we describe as self and the environment, this ephemeral yet essential sensory and executional tool that defines our limits and our ability to exist, perform and excel in our physical world, has been evolving not only through natural selection but through human intervention based on science, religion and cultural beliefs.

Our obsession with understanding and interpreting this cellular mass has historically been a pivotal force for science, art and philosophy and yet we are still as inspired and even more fixated by it.

From cybernetics to designer babies, our ability to redefine, reimagine and manipulate our shell, perhaps in the quest for health? beauty? conformity? happiness? immortality? divinity? perfection? is opening new frontiers.

From Fragmented, to Anonymous, we have created and curated a series of sensational bodyscapes and sociopolitical visual essays. We also have showcased the works of emerging and established artists including, Alex Charovas, Omer Ga’ash, Andreas Constantinou, Nir Arieli and Errikos Andreou.

Amongst our featured Artists, we have also interviewed our cover model and Instagram sensation, Brian Wittaker who is featured in an exclusive editorial, Light and Shadow, and the West End, Insta-celeb model/dancer Sam Salter in an intimate and in-depth interview. Make sure to check our People section.

We’ve also introduced 6 up and coming models in our Model’s Corner with photos and Q&As. Do remember to have a look at the next Moodboard if you would like to Submit your work for consideration for our next issue.

The Human Form is a complex subject which we will revisit in the near future. In the meantime we want to thank all our contributors, who have taken the time to create or have otherwise participated and joined us in the process of putting this issue together.

We hope that our creative family will grow further and that we will be hosting a greater gamma of voices and diverse points of view.

In the meantime, we welcome you to marvel at The Human Form.

Thank you and enjoy!
